Anthem Faces Class Action Lawsuit
Cohen & Malad, LLP filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of approximately 80 million Anthem health insurance customers of Anthem whose personal information was compromised in a recent security breach. The lawsuit alleges that Anthem failed to safeguard the personal information of current and former clients allowing computer hackers access to information such as birthdates, social security numbers, physical addresses, email addresses, employee information, and income information.Anthem is the second largest health care insurance provider in the United States. This massive data breach is the second for the insurer.
