Experian Faces Class Action Over T-Mobile Data Breach
Cohen & Malad, LLP filed a class action lawsuit against Experian Information Solutions, Inc., on behalf of T-Mobile consumers whose personal information was compromised in a data breach hack that took place between September 2013 and September 2015. Experian reported sensitive personal information of approximately 15 million T-Mobile customers was accessed by cyber thieves. Information housed on the Experian servers for T-Mobile included names, addresses, social security numbers, dates of birth, and identification numbers such as driver’s license, military ID, and/or passport numbers. There are reports that the data stolen in the hack is already showing up for sale on the dark web.
The lawsuit seeks to recover damages for the 15 million T-Mobile customers whose information was accessed in the Experian hack. If you were a victim of the T-Mobile data breach, contact us.
