Attorney Ian Bensberg joined CohenMalad, LLP in 2025 as a member of the firm’s class action group. His practice focuses on representing plaintiffs in consumer protection and data privacy cases.
Prior to CohenMalad, Ian represented plaintiffs in complex cases of national importance at every level of the federal courts, including In re National Prescription Opiate Litigation, MDL No. 2804 (N.D. Ohio), In re Social Media Adolescent Addiction/Personal Injury Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 3047 (N.D. Cal.), TransUnion LLC v. Ramirez, No. 20-297 (S. Ct.), and Authors Guild v. OpenAI Inc., No. 1:23-cv-8292 (S.D.N.Y.).
He formerly served as a law clerk to the Hon. Paul D. Mathias, Indiana Court of Appeals; the Hon. Sarah Evans Barker, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana; and the Hon. David F. Hamilton, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
