Cohen & Malad, LLP filed a class action lawsuit against Medical Informatics Engineering, Inc. (MIE) on July 29, 2015 on behalf of nearly 3.9 million people whose personal information was stolen by computer hackers. MIE reported that computer hackers accessed sensitive client information on May 7, 2015. Patient information including names, addresses, social security numbers, dates of birth and protected health information was compromised. Protected health information includes lab results, health insurance policy information, diagnosis, doctor’s name, medical conditions, and child’s name and birth statistics.
