Attorney Richard Shevitz Bikes 100 Miles For JDRF Fundraiser
Cohen & Malad, LLP attorney Richard Shevitz just completed his 13th 100-mile JDRF Ride to Cure, a fundraising bike ride for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. After his daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes during her junior year of high school, Richard became active with the local chapter of JDRF, serving on the board, traveling to Washington to lobby for continued federal support of research to cure Type 1 diabetes… and dusting off his bike to participate in fundraising rides! Each year, the JDRF organizes 100-mile fundraising rides at various scenic locations. This past weekend, Richard and a group of other Hoosiers to Grand Rapids, Michigan, joining hundreds of riders on a route from Millennium Park to the shore of Lake Michigan and back, all to help raise money for this important cause.
