Lynn A. Toops Named Partner at CohenMalad, LLP
CohenMalad, LLP is pleased to announce Lynn A. Toops has been named partner. Lynn is a class action attorney and has focused her practice on consumer protection issues including data security and privacy violations as well as products liability among many matters. One notable case, Moss v. Indiana Department of Child Services, involved families who adopted special needs children out of DCS foster care. The lawsuit alleged that DCS failed to pay an adoption subsidy allegedly promised in a state adoption subsidy contract. The case settled and more than 1,800 children who were adopted from DCS’s foster care system received $15.1 million. Lynn served as an integral member of the litigation team in that lawsuit.
Lynn has been named a Thomson Reuters Indiana Super Lawyer Rising Star each year from 2011 to 2015. She is a 2006 alumnae of the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
