MEDICAL MALPRACTICE ATTORNEY
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Hybrid remote with Law Office in downtown Indianapolis, IN
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
Cohen & Malad, LLP, an Indianapolis-based law firm of 25+ attorneys, is seeking to add an experienced litigation attorney to its well-established and expanding medical malpractice group. The medical malpractice group functions in a highly collaborative, plaintiff-oriented entrepreneurial manner, which encourages and rewards initiative in moving cases forward, and which provides significant opportunity for professional development.
The responsibilities of the position include handling depositions, court appearances, client appointments, trials, etc. Candidates with medical device liability, personal injury litigation or medical malpractice litigation experience are preferred.
Some attributes of the ideal candidate include:
- 3-5 years of civil litigation experience
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with lawyers in the firm as well as with co-counsel in other firms in a team-oriented culture
- Self-starter able to manage workload efficiently and independently, with good judgment and the time management skills to prioritize litigation responsibilities and move cases forward proactively with limited supervision
- Sincere desire and commitment to advocate for plaintiffs
