Meet Ian
Attorney Ian Ansel focuses on matters of medical malpractice, dental malpractice, and personal injury. He represents individuals and families harmed by negligence and is dedicated to helping clients pursue justice, accountability, and meaningful recovery.
Ian received his J.D. from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2023 on a full-tuition scholarship. While in law school, he was an honor society student and a two-time Dean’s List recipient. He also sought out substantial hands-on experience, serving in legal and compliance roles with the Sagamore Institute, Purdue University Athletics Department Compliance Office, NCAA National Headquarters, and the law firms of Massillamany, Jeter & Carson, and Montross Miller.
Before beginning his legal career, Ian earned his bachelor’s degree in political science, with a concentration in international relations, from Mercyhurst University in 2014.
Ian lives in Westfield with his wife, son, and yellow lab. He enjoys all sports, racing, spending time with family, and practicing his faith. Ian also has dual citizenship with Italy, and has an appreciation for all things Italian — especially the food and wine.
A former collegiate athlete, Ian briefly played professional hockey and later qualified for and competed in the 2018 U.S. Olympic Trials in long track speed skating.
