Chuck Jansen Arrested, Victims Urged to Come Forward
FOX59 News reporting on alleged sexual misconduct by Charles “Chuck” Jansen, a former teacher at Taylor High School and St. Joan of Arc/St. Patrick’s in Kokomo. Jansen was arrested by Indiana State Police yesterday, on a level four felony charge of vicarious sexual gratification with a victim under 14 years of age.
Cohen & Malad, LLP’s Greg Laker spoke to Fox59 about the case, saying Jansen’s alleged grooming of minors in multiple school systems over decades is all too common. Laker praised Jansen’s former students for coming forward, thus protecting other students from potentially being victimized.
Laker encourages others who were impacted by Jansen that now is the time to share their stories. “You don’t need to be afraid,” he says. “You will be believed. You can speak out and people will listen.”
