Indiana Doctor’s License Suspended After Allegations of Sexual Abuse During Medical Exams

The Indiana Attorney General has filed a petition seeking the emergency suspension of the medical license of Dr. Abdelmessiah Guirguis, a physician who practiced in Madison, Indiana, after allegations that he engaged in sexually inappropriate conduct during patient examinations.

According to the filing with the Indiana Medical Licensing Board, investigators determined that Dr. Guirguis represents “a clear and immediate danger to the public health and safety if allowed to continue to practice.”

A hearing regarding the summary suspension of his license has been scheduled before the Medical Licensing Board of Indiana.

The state’s petition describes reports from multiple male patients who allege that during medical visits Dr. Guirguis engaged in inappropriate touching and conduct during genital or prostate examinations, including manipulating patients’ genitals, making sexualized comments, and conducting examinations in ways that were not medically necessary or professionally appropriate. The filing also alleges that some examinations were conducted without gloves or adequate explanation to patients.

According to the petition, Dr. Guirguis’ employment with Norton King’s Daughters’ Health ended in December 2025 due to what was described as “grossly unprofessional conduct.”
