CohenMalad, LLP is seeking a talented and experienced Eminent Domain & Real Estate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong foundation in real estate matters who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and collaborative environment.

This position focuses on representing clients in real estate matters, including eminent domain, construction disputes, and other matters. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to advocate for clients ranging from individuals to large business entities.

Candidates with significant experience handling eminent domain matters or a multitude of other real estate matters are encouraged to apply. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Representing clients in eminent domain matters, including inverse condemnation cases, to obtain fair and just compensation on their behalf.
  • Representing clients in commercial real estate transactions and development, including contract drafting and review, zoning compliance, due diligence review, and other related matters.
  • Handling litigation from inception through resolution in construction, easement, trespass, quiet title, sales disclosure fraud, and other real estate disputes.
  • Representing clients in matters involving zoning and ordinance violations, and other governmental compliance matters.
  • Working with our team to continue growing our eminent domain and real estate practice.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • 5-8 years ofexperience in one or more of the practice areas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop creative and effective strategies.
  • Proven success managing matters from beginning through their resolution.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
  • Self-motivated and proactive with sound judgment.
  • A strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service
  • Proficiency in Spanish or a secondary language is a positive, but not required for this position.
