“Tortured and held hostage”
Kara Kenney with WRTV Indianapolis reports on new lawsuit against Options Behavioral Health and parent company Acadia Healthcare
Craig Inman filed the lawsuit against the Indianapolis mental health hospital on October 7, 2024, alleging his 12-year-old daughter was repeatedly drugged and held against her will. The lawsuit details that despite profuse attempts by the child’s parents — both medical care providers themselves — and other mental health professionals, Options staff refused to release the child for 14 days, without medical basis.
“We want this to stop happening to our Hoosier kids and to our adults,” said attorney Justin Kuhn of Cohen & Malad, LLP, representing the Inman family and many others in matters against Options Behavioral Health and Acadia Healthcare. The Indianapolis-based law firm currently represents ten adults and three children in matters involving multiple Acadia-owned behavioral health facilities.
Former patients are encouraged to reach out for a free case evaluation by the investigating attorneys.
