Patients Allege Rape, Sexual Misconduct By Former Doctor Roc Byrd
[Case update, 02/28/2025] Danville, Indiana resident and former chiropractor Roc Byrd has accepted a plea deal in his criminal case, with sentencing scheduled for April 24, 2025.
Byrd was arrested in September 2023 following allegations of rape and sexual assault by patients during chiropractic sessions at his clinic, Cornerstone Chiropractic, in Avon, Indiana. One patient reported that Byrd inappropriately touched her during a treatment in November 2022, leading to his initial arrest.
Prior to assaulting victims, Byrd is reportedly emphasized his being a faithful Christian and even prayed with patients before the start of a session. One alleged victim attended the same church as Byrd, and felt intimidated about coming forward because of his prominent position within their religious community.
