Medical Review Panel Finds Dr. Harlamert Guilty of Malpractice

Dr. Edward Harlamert has again been found guilty of committing medical malpractice. In January 2025, a medical review panel working for the Indiana Department of Insurance issued its expert opinion, finding in favor of former patient Carlota Lawton.

The evidence supports the conclusion that the Defendant, Edward Harlamert, M.D., failed to comply with the appropriate standard of care as charged in the complaint, and the conduct complained of was a factor of the resultant damages.

Lawton's complaint accused Dr. Harlamert of improperly performing a cardiac catheterization, and placing an unnecessary coronary stent.
