$31,000 Settlement Distribution Benefits Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Middle Tennessee
A Tennessee court has approved a $31,000 distribution of unclaimed settlement funds to be paid to the Monroe Carell, Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Middle Tennessee. The settlement funds come from a class action lawsuit filed against Old Hickory Credit Union on behalf of members who held accounts at the credit union and were charged improper checking account fees.
“We are happy that the unclaimed funds will benefit the community and help children through services provided by these institutions,” said Lynn Toops partner at Cohen & Malad, LLP.
