Data Breach Exposes Patient Information at Greater Cincinnati Pathologists, Inc.
Greater Cincinnati Pathologists, Inc. announced cyber thieves hacked its patient database and accessed protected health information of thousands of patients sometime in August 2019. The company stated the files were accessed via a physician’s email account associated with a local hospital email server. Types of information that was compromised includes patient name, date of birth, address, Social Security number, list of medical procedures performed on patient, diagnoses, and pathology reports.
