First Annual Cohen & Malad, LLP Consumer Law Symposium Held at IU McKinney Law School
Over 100 people attended the Cohen & Malad, LLP Consumer Law Symposium at the IU McKinney Law School on Friday February 19, 2015. The symposium marked the end of the academic term for the Cohen & Malad, LLP fellowship program and provided an opportunity for this year’s fellow Justin McGiffen to share his experience working on consumer law issues.
Professor Carrie Hagan welcomed the audience to the law school for the event and Cohen & Malad, LLP partner Richard Shevitz shared the vision behind the creation of the consumer law fellowship and how it will provide hands-on experience for law students through the participation of Indiana Legal Services. The program included presentations by Vice Dean Antony Page, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Indiana Tim A. Baker, and Marion Superior Court Judge Gary L. Miller with attendees eligible for 2.5 hours of continuing legal education credit.
