TD Bank Agrees to $70 Million Settlement in Overdraft Fee Lawsuit

TD Bank agreed to settle a group of consolidated class action lawsuits that alleged the bank improperly charged overdraft fees on customer accounts that did have sufficient funds to pay the transactions. The $70 million settlement was submitted for approval to the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina where the cases are consolidated.
